We recently had the opportunity to sit down with Stargazer, who already released numerous tracks on Prospexx. His latest addition is the collaboration track “Wait For Me” together with the boys from TESFY. During our conversation, we talked about his journey into the Hardstyle genre, his sources of inspiration, and his plans for the future.

Can you tell us who the person behind your act ‘Stargazer’ is?

My real name is Patrick Bayan. I'm 30 years old and from Waiblingen in Baden-Württemberg in good old Germany.

How and when did you get in touch with Hardstyle?

My first contact with hardstyle was when my best friend Showed me the Qlimax 2007 DVD back in 2008 and after that introduced me to some obscure internet radio. First tracks that came on air were Headhunterz - Forever Az One, and Technoboy - Rage. I have been hooked ever since and have not regretted it once!

Who currently inspires you the most within the scene?

Right now it has to be Devin Wild, the amount of creativity and sound design he delivers in his tracks is inspiring to me. And sprinkling in some genre crossovers? Can't go wrong with that for me ;)

(Also all of my good friends, but especially Tempest, Demolite and TESFY.)

How would you describe your music?

Melodic yet with a rougher edge, also often with a kind of storytelling. This might not be the most energetic at times, but I try to evoke certain feelings with it.

Favorite Hardstyle Track of all time?

Devin Wild - Broken and Keltek - Dark Sun. These tracks really helped me through some tough years and will always have a special place in my heart.

What can we expect from you in the future?

I am currently working on my overall sound a lot and trying to bring you some heavier tracks without forgetting the melodic side, of course. I am getting there and new stuff will be out very soon!
