Araysen is a familiar face if you have been following our Prospexx socials for a while. With his latest track “Without Me” we thought it is a good idea to give you all the opportunity to get to know him better. In this updated interview we delve into his biggest inspirations in the hardstyle scene and what he has in store for the future.

Who is the person behind your act Araysen?

My name is Joel and I’m 27 years old. I am from Spain but I also have some Swiss Roots as I was born and lived there for 12 years.

How and when did you get in touch with Hardstyle?

I got in touch with Hardstyle during the Headhunterz Qlimax 2008 vlog and later on the challenge album that was released by Coone.

Who currently inspires you the most within the scene?

Atmozfears and Demi Kanon were always really inspiring to me. But nowadays I also take inspiration from acts like Rebelion and Vertile. I strive for a good balance between the trends in the scene and melodic.

How would you describe your music?

I describe my music as an constantly evolving style looking to fit the fans trend without losing my own melodic touch.

Favorite Hardstyle Track of all time?

It's difficult to choose, but I think “Live The Moment” by JDX and “Lost In Paradise” by Max Enforcer.

What can we expect from you in the future?

You can expect harder mid intros with high energetic melodies in the future, so stay tuned and meanwhile you can enjoy my latest track “Without Me”.

And lastly what is your most memorable Club or Festival performance?

I think for me the most memorable was Pelicano in Coruña and Fabrik in Madrid as they are the most amazing clubs I have seen. But I have to mention also my Portugues buddies from “At Events”, it was such a good vibe during my first international gig!
