Tomorrow Araysen will release his new track called ‘Burning’ on Scantraxx Prospexx! An uplifting and promising track that is ready to hit the dancefloor! After his previous releases ‘Electric’, ‘Next To Me’, ‘Run’ with Manu and ‘Secret of Life’ with Chavetas, it was about time to get to know our Spanish talent Joel better as we go more in depth about his habits and thoughts in his daily life. Let’s dive right into it!
Every producer has its own ways of making their own music. Some start with making kicks, some start their melodies with only a whistle. Araysen starts his process by finding chord progressions that really gets to him. Based on that he starts with the melody, the vocals and of course the kicks. Yet it all depends on just thoughts according to him.
When you are producing a track, sometimes it might take hours before you have something that is worth working with. In between the producing hours, Araysen takes a one-hour stop to go for a walk. ‘Mostly I go for a walk in the forest or to the river nearby to relax and find new inspirations from nature’ he says.
‘Burning’ will be his newest release and he sure found some great inspirations from nature. Because this track was made in less than a week! ‘The chords and melodies were made in a few moments and the vocals just fitted perfectly!’ Araysen says. Sometimes you just feel like this is perfect and ‘Burning’ is the perfect example of that.
Let’s get a little more in-depth in the personal life of Araysen. A typical day for Araysen looks like this:
First off, he starts with a small breakfast and finds some time to go out to freshen up his mind. After that, he dives right into the studio and starts messing around with some sound. Because, who knows, maybe you get a weird yet cool sound to work with! The rest of the day is all about making music and finding new hunches to work with.
His friends would probably describe him as a calm person but when it comes to having fun, you are at the right address with Joel! Going out with friends for some beers at the beach or terrace is something that he really enjoys. He takes energy from this by stepping down from the music for a little bit. But not for too long though! Also in this type of distraction, he finds new inspirations!
Every DJ can relate to this… Bloopers! Every DJ has had a blooper when they are performing. This is Araysen’s blooper:
“There was this one time, I was ending the set with an emotional song at the biggest club in Spain called Fabrik. We were about to switch from DJs, however, I managed to pull out the wrong USB right at the most emotional moment of that song… You can imagine that it was quite the mess!”
